A-kid-at-heart, Anjelika enjoys traveling on the wild side and was once the only tourist on a marine-biology expedition to the North Pole where she encountered gracious wild animals and learned to sing with the whales. She has waded joyfully and unknowingly with piranhas in the Pantanal, camped with grizzlies in the Yukon and flown gleefully into the world's most dangerous airport in Lukla.

These escapades led Anjelika to begin a thrilling new adventure as a children's book author and illustrator, infusing her curious nature and diverse experiences into writing and drawing for children. 

 

A NY based voice over actor with a background in Theater, Puppetry and Costume Design she studied at the Royal Central School of Speech and Drama/University of London. Anjelika's stories and illustrations have appeared on augmented reality platforms and she is currently exploring and working on ideas to bring her stories and art into the real world. 

 

Born in the Netherlands, Anjelika is a passionate organic farmer, guardian of mother earth, polymath, protector of all insects and animals, spiritual seeker, reiki practitioner, herbalist and enthusiastic ukulele player.

 

She still somehow manages to balance her creative life and marvelous travels with her wonderful, madcap family, who keep her mildly sane and insanely happy.

 

A member of SCBWI, 12X12, mentored through the Illustration Department and a graduate of the Children’s Book Academy.
